A Brief Interlude

I just wanted to interrupt this current project for an interesting Yahoo group that I found yesterday called Every Day Matters, located at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/everydaymatters/. Every Day Matters is a group of folks from around the globe that capture everyday objects and people and events in their lives in their drawing journals. It's an interesting concept that I was not aware of but I has caught my interest. The group was started by Danny Gregory and based on his book appropriately named "Everyday Matters".

So, as I was sitting on my couch today, our normal fearless hunter Harry the cat plopped down to take a nap right beside me and I decided to try out this every day drawing thing. I had to work fast since he was not really asleep and any noise would cause him to stir. Anyway, here is my first attempt at a live sketch. I used a Micron pen and colored pencils.

Here is a link to the book "Everyday Matters" at Amazon.
