Harley Davidson Road King

Despite the fact there is less ink in this drawing of the Road King than in the previous drawing of the dog, this drawing has taken many times longer to just get to this point.  The level of complexity in this drawing is very high.  In addition, the bike is made up of smooth shiny surfaces with many reflections of the surroundings and the sun.  I had to decide on the best strokes that I could use consistently throughout the drawing to achieve the proper surface texture and uniformity.  Although other strokes would work, I decided on the stippling technique as that would give me the most control and would allow me to adjust things with the addition of just a few dots here and there.  Click on the drawing to enlarge it.
